Do you know your fitness terms and supplements?
Below we are providing you with terms and supplements that everyone should know, before even stepping foot into a gym.
The Four Most common work out terms:
REPS – Shorthand for repetitions. Saying 20 reps means you are going to do that exercise 20 times.
SETS – This is how many times you repeat a given number of reps. For example, one set might be 20 reps of sit-ups. Repeating this three times means you will do that three times through.
COOL DOWN – A phase of an exercise routine in which you to slow down and recover. This is commonly done on a treadmill or cardio machine. Depending on the intensity of the workout a cool down can last between 2 – 15 minutes.
SUPPLEMENTS – Supplements enhance your training and nutrition. A supplement can be whey protein, BCAA’s or Pre-Workout. There are other supplements too.
Getting to know supplements:
So, know that you know what a supplement is, you want to understand what supplement products do. Here are the three supplements products you should know.
BRANCHED-CHAIN AMINO ACIDS (BCAA) –
The three amino acids are – leucine, isoleucine, and valine. When you are exercising, they are broken down and preferentially taken up by skeletal muscle. Ingestion of BCAAs can stimulate anabolism. You can recover faster and spur muscle growth with Performance Inspired BCAA PLUS Post-Workout. This tasty, all-natural formula blends Branched Chain Amino Acids with electrolytes to support recovery after training. Available in Berry Fruit Blast and Tropical Mango Delight, this flavorful, gluten-free training supplement is the natural way to bounce back fast after an intense workout.
WHEY PROTEIN –
Whey Protein is the most popular supplement. Performance Inspired Performance Whey helps supplement your regular diet with clean, natural protein. No synthetic additives, proprietary blends, or fillers here. Just honest, all-natural ingredients you can trust. Whether you’re looking for a basic whey protein powder for strength and recovery, weight loss and nutrition, or endurance and power, this tasty formula is the perfect way to naturally improve your performance.
CREATINE –
Creatine is an amino acid that your body naturally produces for energy and muscle growth. However, many supplements ruin this organic ingredient by mixing it with synthetic additives that aren’t good for you and give you the jitters. Performance Inspired Micronized Creatine is made with Germany’s famous CreaPure™ formula. Unflavored and no fillers or additives to fuel strength and power. This powder mixes well, is micronized for optimal absorption and will stay suspended in solution longer, all while supporting lean muscle growth.
Those are the three basic supplements you should know when hitting the gym.

So all these supplements sound good alone, but what combinations are best? Can you take all the different supplements at the same time? I am looking for health, joint relief, energy, and weight loss. Not looking to get ripped or big huge muscles. Just strength and health purposes, of course losing weight and any toning would be great for myself as a benefit! I go to the gym and burn about 150 calories and go about 5 miles biking along with leg , arm, and back strengthening workouts my trainer suggested. I also have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis). Thanks for the natural products, the tips, and being family oriented. Any answers or suggestions greatly appreciated so I can decide what to buy.
