There’s just something special about the sweet taste of a gummy that takes you back to when you were a child. Whether it was the flavor, the shape, or the fun in sharing gummy candy, they were certainly hard to resist. I know gummy bears were always a favorite of mine.
Perhaps that is why we have seen a trend lately of supplements being created in gummy form.

According to Nourished, a recent study found that “there was a significant increase in the bio-availability of Vitamin D prepared in gummy than those manufactured in tablets. The factors for this result were multiple but included the preparation and coating of the gummy and the way in which they are consumed. The study suggested that gummies are chewed and their dissolution begins in the mouth when combined with saliva, and then continues throughout the body; which gives them greater bio-availability than pills which are swallowed whole.”
