Another reason to be gluten-free is to improve your memory, reduce brain fog and have better moods. The Myths of a Gluten Free Diet

Gluten-free diets will make you lose weight

Some people lose weight on a gluten-free diet, others gain. Gluten free has no relationship to weight loss. Eating a gluten-free cookie, is the same as eating a regular cookie. Sure, a gluten-free cookie has its perks, but the calories in each cookie add up. Just because you change to gluten-free foods, does not mean you quit working out.

If you go gluten-free, you will not get enough fiber, grains and nutrients

There are numerous options to add fiber, grains and nutrients to your diets without eating gluten.  Beans are a safe way to add fiber to your diet. A cup of black beans or kidney beans will provide you roughly 20 grams of fiber to your diet.  Brown rice is another great fiber food, one cup equals 7 grams of fiber. Even if you go 100 percent gluten-free, you will still get enough fiber, grains and nutrients.
