February Fitness Frustration

February Fitness Frustration

Researchers say that 43% of people give up on their New Year’s Resolutions by February because they are frustrated with a lack of results. This frustration—especially when it comes to fitness—keeps them from continuing to work toward their goal. But you must remember that not all results are immediate. It takes 4 weeks for YOU to see your body changing, 8 weeks for YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY to see it changing, and 12 weeks for THE REST OF THE WORLD to see it! Right now, you’re only at 4 weeks! Don’t give up; keep going!

Push aside that frustration and take a look at these tips to help you stay on track as you work toward keeping your resolution.

Tip 1: Renew Your Motivation

Sometimes all you need is a little extra motivation to keep going. Get involved with others who share the same goals. Swap stories and encouragement. PI makes this easy for you. All you need to do is follow @PerformInspired on all social platforms, and you will find the motivation you seek. Performance Inspired shows normal people, just like you, succeeding in crushing their resolutions. They also post facts, tips, and motivational quotes that are perfect for days when you feel like giving up.

Tip 2: Identify Clear Action Steps

You can’t lose weight or get out of debt without clear steps that will help you get there. Oftentimes small steps help you on your way to that larger goal. Create a plan that includes daily objectives that will facilitate long-term change.

Whether you are going to drink a PI protein shake for lunch every day or you’re going to stop eating out until you’ve paid off your credit card bill, commit to taking action that will help you get closer to your goal.

Tip 3: Stop Procrastinating

The biggest barrier that keeps most people from reaching their goals is the desire to relax and do something fun instead of working hard. And once you get used to procrastinating, it’s difficult to snap yourself out of it. So, even if you have to force yourself to work hard toward that goal, do it. It will become easier. Remind yourself that it’s okay to take time for yourself or take time to relax. Use that relaxation time as a reward for your hard work.
