5 Festive Protein Shakes for a Healthier Thanksgiving

When we look around the Thanksgiving table, we see tasty treats made with pumpkin, apples, cranberries, cinnamon, sweet potatoes, and more. But these flavors aren’t just for the Thanksgiving table. You can add them to a shake to enjoy anytime!

Pumpkin Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1 scoop PI’s vanilla protein powder (your choice)
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium banana (frozen works better for a thicker shake)
  • 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!

Cranberry Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop PI’s vanilla protein powder (your choice)
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 banana (frozen works better for a thicker shake)
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend and enjoy!

Variation: Add a few slices of orange or apple for a sweeter milkshake.

Apple Cinnamon Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups almond milk
  • 1 scoop PI’s vanilla protein powder (your choice)
  • 1 cup of sliced apples (red or green, your choice)
  • 1 banana (use a frozen banana for a thicker shake)
  • 1-2 tsp honey (per your taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend and enjoy!

Sweet Potato Pie Protein Shake

This one requires a little more prep time, but it’s worth it!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop PI’s vanilla protein powder (your choice)
  • 1 cup frozen sweet potatoes (bake a sweet potato, then cut it and freeze the pieces; keep extra for round two!)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Directions:

Add all ingredients into a blender. Blend and enjoy!

Pecan Pie Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 scoop PI’s vanilla protein powder (your choice)
  • 1 banana (use a frozen banana for a thicker shake)
  • 1/3 cup pecans (save a few to garnish the top once it’s poured)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp caramel sauce

Directions:

Add all ingredients except a few pecan pieces to a blender. Blend, add reserved pecans to top, drizzle with more caramel sauce (if desired), and enjoy!
